The Hartford board of education was going to name a new school superintendent tonight, but that meeting has been canceled.
Following a story on WNPR that highlighted concerns in the community about the board’s process for selecting a new superintendent, Mayor Pedro Segarra held a press conference today. Just hours before the board was to meet, he called on its members to change course and begin again with a national search. The board of education then canceled its meeting.
