In Pursuit Of Electronic Health Records

Federal and state officials across the country are working to implement the various provisions of the 2010 Affordable Care Act.  A major component of that is using electronic health records to reduce paperwork and administrative costs.

I’m pretty much resigned to the fact that personal data are increasingly accessible by the public at large. But, I remain extremely uncomfortable with the government’s gathering of the stuff. It’s one thing for a profit seeking corporation to have my e-mail address, it’s another for the corporation with police power to have comprehensive medical info. Hope and change in 2012; the trash-binning of Obama-care.

  2. Electronic Health Records are becoming commonplace all around the world. In fact the HL7 is a standard design for EHR – Electronic Health Records. Just google it to find out more about it.

    Cheers!
