It’s been two days since the Hartford Board of Education’s superintendent selection committee met, but there’s still no confirmed word on the decision the committee has made. Board Chairman David MacDonald has not responded to requests for comment since Saturday morning.
Also not responding to requests for comment is the school district itself — we’ve asked for more clarity on the reprimand issued to spokesman David Medina by Superintendent Steven Adamowski.
For those of you waiting for more, here are a couple of things worth reading. First, a bit of satire and commentary from La Voz. Then, a bit of reporting and commentary from Kevin Brookman. His recounting of his interview with one of the selection committee’s members is noteworthy. According to Brookman, one of the citizen members of the selection committee confirmed to him that she has a financial relationship with the district – she sells school uniforms.
