Now there’s Rhashim Campbell, fired for using excessive force with a prisoner. The press release is below.

TERMINATES OFFICER RHASHIM CAMPBELL
(Hartford) Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts has terminated Officer Rhashim Campbell effective immediately following an Internal Affairs Investigation into the mistreatment of a prisoner arrested on a domestic violence incident on November 1, 2009. A Hearing Panel consisting of three Hartford Police Captains found that Officer Rhashim Campbell violated the following two articles of the Hartford Police Department’s Code of Conduct:
- Article II, Section 2.10 Knowingly or Willfully Making a False Entry in an Department Record
- Article VII, Section 7.01 Intentional, Unnecessary and Excessive Use of Force in Effectuating an Arrest or in the Performance and Execution of Other Official Duties.
Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts stated: “The Hartford Police Department will not tolerate the mistreatment of our citizens, especially those in our custody.”
