Ritter/Green Recount

Everyone is still recovering from yesterday’s primaries.  I’ll have a story looking into the various races for the general assembly in Hartford (I think some college student senate elections draw more voters.)

But for now, here’s one thing of note:  Hartford city councilman Matt Ritter says his race against incumbent state Rep. Ken Green is going for a state-mandated recount.  According to the Courant, just three votes separate the men.

Ritter says the recount will likely occur by next Tuesday.

“Which is good,” Ritter said.  “Because I’m getting married next Saturday.”
