Hartford Town Committee Fight Goes Legal

Looks like the dust-up we’ve been following in Hartford isn’t going away.

Here’s what’s going on.  The North End town committee slate in Abe Giles’ district is facing a political challenge from residents calling for “change.” Now, those challengers say they’ve filed suit in state court, alleging that the city’s Democratic registrar of voters — who is related to Giles — improperly certified the slate of which she is a member.

Really want to know more?  Read the suit here: Suit. A hearing is scheduled for Friday. Why should you care?  Because whoever controls the town committee has a strong voice in who becomes the city’s next mayor.
