Ok, so we’re only a few posts along here at Capital Region Report.
But be fair — I’m a newspaper guy one month into a new radio gig. Biggest lesson so far? Producing a straightforward story for the radio takes way longer than writing the same story for print. For me. For now.
But enough about me. As the “about” page says, this blog is the reporter’s notebook of WNPR‘s Capital Region Reporting Initiative. It’s where we’ll post all of our regional news that makes the radio, and even more that doesn’t.
Yes, the happenings of the state’s capitol, politics, and looming budget crisis have our attention. You’ll read about all of those here. But just as important will be stories about Hartford, the people who live and work here, and the issues that they — and their region — confront daily.
We welcome your suggestions.
